Screenshots from my project involving collaboration with UKAHT to preserve antarctic heritage. The environments are optimized to work on Oculus Quest 2 handheld platforms and is intended of mass distribution in education. The project further explored and researched ways to implement interactability and storytelling in VR using Unity engine. All of the modelling is done directly referencing modern day photogrammetry captures from on-site to increase the realism.
My work for this project involved the creation of the base interior, the dockyard scene, as well as multiple hero assets. All assets are optimized to work in lower end VR systems with attention to using trim textures to achieve optimal visual fidelity.
The project was a massive learning experience in optimization, light baking and modular environment creation in Unity engine.
